Dedication
This effort to help expand understanding and move toward constructive change in Schenectady's vulnerability to canal/river flooding commemorates and continues the effort of Mary Van der Bogert, now-deceased neighbor, friend and dedicated volunteer in the community. She shared concerns and a logic that the Vischers Ferry Dam deserved deep scrutiny toward substantial modification to reduce its adverse role in the canal/river flooding experienced far too long at Schenectady without action.
