As noted by Paul Keesler in his article, "The Much Maligned Mr. Greene," some information in this book has been superseded by later research or was provided incorrectly by local sources.]

Map: The Hudson Valley. Showing also the rivers of northeastern new Jersey, which empty into the mouth of the Hudson, and towns of over 50,000 on these streams. The mountains bordering the Hudson Valley are also indicated. Only New York State towns, having city charters, lying in the Hudson Valley are here shown. The Mohawk Valley, of course, forms part of the Hudson Valley, the Mohawk being the chief tributary of the Hudson.
