Four principal chiefs of the great Onondaga nation have met for a clan council. The turtle clan has some matter of importance to bring before the nation. One chief is arguing the subject while the clan matron views his attitude with disfavor, instructing her spokesman what to reply for her and all the women of the clan. The bark house is genuine and was once inhabited by the Indians.
