A birdseye view of one of the historic towns of the Mohawk Valley taken from Prospect Hill, site of the middle Mohawk [castle] of Tarajorees from 1700 to 1755. Fort Plain of the Revolution stood on a hill about three-quarters of a mile north of the center of town, seen in this picture.
