Photo: Fort Klock Near St. Johnsville.

Built in 1750. The cellar door opens into a stone Revolutionary dungeon. In the cellar is a spring of water issuing from the solid rock. The batle of Klock's Field, in which American Militia routed Sir John Johnson's invaders, Oct. 19, 1780, was fought close to this house — then a palisaded fortress. Photo by courtesy L. D. MacWethy, St. Johnsville Enterprise-News.
