Photograph by the author while the train was making sixty miles an hour. This is a historic flyer, the first long distance speed train of the New York Central, America's greatest railroad. It is still the fastest New York to Buffalo train and covers the Mohawk Division, Albany to Syracuse, 147 miles, in 176 minutes, and the 439 miles from New York to Buffalo in 540 minutes. Fort Plain has a model New York Central station and grounds.
